Makali‘i is one of Wailea’s most distinctive residential communities, perched above the Fairmont Kea Lani and overlooking the Pacific. The community is home to what is often described as the longest infinity-edge pool in Wailea, with sweeping ocean views that make the pool deck a destination in itself. Its location is particularly special, sitting just above the southern end of the Wailea Beach Path, which begins at the Fairmont and winds along the coastline through some of Wailea’s most beautiful resorts and beaches. And there’s a bit of personal history here for me, too. When our kids were little, we’d spend many Sundays playing beach volleyball at Big Beach, often staying out there all day.
