Room to Grow. Space to Create. A Home That Evolves With You. Behind electric gates on a fully fenced half-acre at a coveted 2,550' elevation, this nearly 5,900 SF home offers a rare combination of residence, gallery, studio & remarkably flexible live/work space unique in Upcountry Maui. Created over decades as the home, gallery & studio of internationally recognized fine art photographer Randy Hufford, it offers exceptional possibilities for multigenerational living, a private gallery, artist's atelier, professional office, wellness or educational practice, or potentially a licensed residential care home, subject to buyer verification of zoning, licensing & governmental requirements. Distinctive pole-house construction provides soaring ceilings, abundant natural light & an added benefit: most interior walls are non-load-bearing, making future reconfiguration easier as your needs evolve. Welcome home to Lower Kula, where cool Upcountry mornings, gentle trade winds, the majestic slopes of Haleakala & the sparkling Pacific become part of your everyday life. Originally a modest Upcountry cottage, the home has evolved into multiple levels of remarkably versatile live/work space, blending comfort, creativity & utility in a way few properties can. A colossal chef's kitchen, expansive 60-foot lanai with Bullfrog M7 spa, private bedroom & bath with separate entrance, wine cellar, abundant storage & 5 split-system A/C units further enhance liveability. Two gated entrances connected by upper & lower driveways provide exceptional flexibility, while mature citrus & avocado trees, fragrant gardenias, raised garden beds, a separate dog kennel & owned P/V panels with battery storage complete your private Upcountry sanctuary. Just minutes from La Provence, Kula ACE Hardware & many of Upcountry Maui's beloved farms, gardens & local treasures—yet only a short drive to Baldwin Beach—this is more than a home; it's a place to pursue your passions, support the people who matter most & create memories that will last a lifetime. Now offered at $1,850,000 following a significant $100,000 price improvement, this extraordinary Upcountry property deserves a fresh look from buyers who thought it was previously beyond reach.
